                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING AN ALLEY
                   LOCATED NORTHEAST FROM WEST 34TH STREET BETWEEN
                   ST. ELMO AVENUE AND BROAD STREET, MORE
                   PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned and alley located northeast from West 34th Street 

         between St. Elmo Avenue and Broad Street, more particularly
         described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made 
a
         part hereof by reference:
                An unopened alleyway some 25 feet wide beginning on
                the northeast line of West 34th Street some 245
                feet northwest of the intersection of the northeast
                line of West 34th Street with the northwest line of
                Broad Street, thence northwest 25 feet with West
                34th Street, thence northeast 195 feet parallel to
                Broad Street to the southwest line of Glenview
                Street, thence southeast 25 feet with Glenview
                Street, thence southwest 197 feet parallel to Broad
                Street to the northeast line of West 34th Street,
                the point of beginning.  Said alleyway separates
                lot 2 from lot 4, Robert Scholze Addition No. 2 to
                Chattanooga, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 5, page 54, R.O.H.C.  Tax Map No. 155G-B-8.
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
